Results 2017 CORE Call | FNR – Luxembourg National Research Fund

The FNR is pleased to communicate it has retained 40 of 121 eligible research projects for funding in the 2017 CORE Call, an FNR commitment of 24.4 MEUR. The projects retained for funding are located at the University of Luxembourg, LIST, LIH, LISER and LNS.

CORE is the central funding programme of the FNR, with a prime objective to strengthen the scientific quality of Luxembourg’s public research in strategic priority areas.

In order to identify the most promising and most excellent projects, the FNR submits project proposals to an assessment by independent international experts. Among the 121 eligible project proposals that were submitted, 40 have been selected for funding by our international expert committees, and 81 proposals have been rejected. 16 of the 40 projects are CORE Junior. Of the Principal Investigators (PIs) on the funded projects, 8 are female and 32 are male.

2018 Call

The 2018 CORE Call was launched in December 2017. Deadline is Wednesday, 18 April 2018, 14:00 CET.
