The FNR is pleased to share the newest podcast in the collaboration with Lëtzebuerger Journal. Titled ‘Mäin Element’, the series features researchers in Luxembourg talking about their lives and their passion for science, showing a glimpse of the people behind the science. The 13th episode features social scientist Raphaël Kies.
This episode covers a variety of topics: from politics to the media, from political quotes to Italian fashion. The guest in this 13th episode is Raphael Kies, a social scientist at the University of Luxembourg, who says of himself that he moves in many disciplines. Among other things, he compares the international media landscape and deals intensively with the topic of “e-democracy”. But what is that exactly? Will people one day cast their votes in parliamentary elections through an emoji, or does this concept stand for something completely different?
