New podcast in collaboration with Lëtzebuerger Journal: Dr Laurent Pfister

The FNR is pleased to share the newest podcast in the collaboration with Lëtzebuerger Journal. Titled ‘Mäin Element’, the series features researchers in Luxembourg talking about their lives and their passion for science, showing a glimpse of the people behind the science. The third episode features hydrology researcher Dr Laurent Pfister (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

Dr habil. Laurent Pfister is Head of the Catchment and Eco-Hydrology Group at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), part of the Environmental Research and Innovation (ERIN) research department. In addition to various other grants, he is the coordinator of the Doctoral Training Unit (DTU) ‘Towards a holistic understanding of river systems: Innovative methodologies for unraveling hydrological, chemical and biological interactions across multiple scales’ (HYDRO-SCI).

In 2020, Pfister & team won an FNR Award in the category Outstanding Scientific Publication.

About the ‘Mäin Element’ podcast series

So far, eight podcast are planned in the ‘Mäin Element‘ series, featuring four female and four male scientists from various scientific disciplines and institutions in Luxembourg. The first podcast featured Prof Anne Grünewald (LCSB, University of Luxembourg), the second featured Prof Stéphane Bordas (University of Luxembourg). The language of the podcast varies depending on which researcher is guest.
