The 2023 Industrial Fellowships call is now open, with a deadline of 21 April 2023, 14:00 CET. Please note there is only one Industrial Fellowships call in 2023.

The Industrial Fellowships programme awards PhD and Postdoc grants to researchers who carry out their PhD and/or postdoc training in collaboration with a company in Luxembourg.

Narrative CV – 2023 workshop

The FNR would like to thank everyone who participated in the Narrative CV workshop on February 9th. For those who could not attend, or anyone who would like further support for preparing a narrative-style CV, the workshop slides and pre-workshop survey results are available on the website. In addition, the participants created a resource during the workshop outlining a broader range of outputs and achievements that could be highlighted on a narrative-style CV. Information from the workshop is now available.

Webinar: FNR Reporting is evolving in 2023!

Starting in 2023, the FNR shifts to a new reporting process, the goal of reducing the burden of reporting for all sides, allowing space for a broader range of research outputs to be recognised, and building trust with everyone in the research and science communication ecosystem. This new reporting process was built through an inclusive process with the research institutions, with useful feedback on both our current processes as well as potential improvements received from researchers and administrative staff with reporting experience. The slides from the webinar on 1 February are now available!

Chercheurs à l’école 2023: Researchers, register now!

The FNR is inviting all researchers in Luxembourg to ‘go back to school’ and inspire the next generation of researchers! “Chercheurs à l’école – Researchers go back to school” is your chance to interact and motivate future generations, and share the passion that got you into research in the first place. The 2023 edition takes place from Monday, 13 – Friday, 17 March. Register now for the last remaining sessions!

Spotlight on Young Researchers 2023: Early-career scientists, share your science!

The FNR is pleased to announce the 8th edition of Spotlight on Young Researchers, where we shine a spotlight on people  across the globe with a connection to Luxembourg, who are early in their research careers. Through Spotlight on Young Researchers, you have the chance to draw attention to your field of research, a question or issue and share the work you are doing, and why it is important. Stories will be published as a feature, photo series or video. Deadline to participate is Monday, 27 February 2023. New: Spotlight on Young Researchers is now also open to lab assistants and technicians.

Master, PhD and Postdocs – apply now to attend the 2023 Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting!

The FNR is pleased to announce the Call for talented young researchers to participate as Luxembourg delegates at the 72nd edition of the renowned Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau, Germany. The meeting takes place from 25 to 30 June 2023, and is dedicated to Physiology and Medicine. Deadline to apply is Friday, 14 October 2022.

Results Industrial Fellowship 2022-1 Call

The FNR is pleased to communicate that 7 of 11 Industrial Fellowship projects (6 PhD, 1 Postdoc) have been selected for funding in the 2022-1 Call, representing an FNR commitment of 1.35 MEUR. 

FNR statement on Ukraine – update

The Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) has joined other European Research organizations associated within Science Europe to condemn the Russian aggression and occupation of Ukraine and to express solidarity with the people of Ukraine as well as with Russian scientists and science journalists that openly speak out against the invasion.
