About Fondation de Luxembourg

The Fondation de Luxembourg was created in December 2008 by the Luxembourg State and the Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. Its mission is to promote private philanthropic commitment. The structure was set up to meet the growing need for a centre of expertise in philanthropy in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and to encourage and facilitate philanthropic commitments made by private individuals and/or businesses.

About the Science for Society Foundation

The Science for Society Foundation supports organisations and projects aiming at communicating unbiased scientific information to opinion leaders and the general public. The Foundation especially targets its support in scientific fields in which the information tends to be biased because of political agendas or emotional content, such as the environment, health or sustainable development issues. It envisions that a better understanding of science in areas that are important for Society will foster sounder debates and more informed policy decisions.
