Following the great success of past Science Festival events, the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) and the FNR are pleased to announce the 14th edition of the leading event in promoting science in Luxembourg: The Science Festival will be held in the surroundings of Neimënster and the exhibition galleries of the National Museum of National History in Luxembourg-Grund from 9 to 12 November 2023. Deadline to submit proposals for science workshops is 1 March 2023.
Scientists and science communicators are optimistic people. Therefore, we are convinced that at the current stage of the Corona pandemic, there are many indications that we will be able to plan the next edition of the Science Festival under safe conditions. At the moment we are starting from an organisation of the Festival similar to the previous Festivals. It goes without saying that we adapt the different phases (call, selection, progress…) according to the health situation of the moment. The Festival will take place in the best conditions for everyone (animators, school classes, general public). You will be informed at all times of any changes made.
The purpose is to present and promote science and research in Luxembourg and to encourage young people and the general public to become interested and curious about science and technology, through interactive workshops and science-related shows. School classes and groups can register again in advance to take part in the Science Festival on Thursday, 9 and Friday, 10 November 2023. The workshops and shows will be open to the general public over the weekend of 11-12 November 2023.
The success of the previous editions was due to the quality of the activities presented by the collaborating and contributing associations, research centers, universities and other participants in the field of science and research science in Luxembourg, in the Greater Region and beyond. We hope that you will support us again with the same enthusiasm during the 2021 edition of the Science Festival and that many of you will respond to our Call for Proposals!
