Submitted Abstract

REFOX aims at major advances in ultra-reactive ferroic materials based on the understanding, extension and optimization of the mesmerizing “domain liquids” recently discovered by Jorge Íñiguez and co-workers. We will pursue totally original research lines that, as far as we know, no other group is currently considering. Indeed, we will capitalize on recent results, collaborations, and advanced home-made simulation tools that place us in a unique position to explore and design novel high-entropy liquid-like solid-state materials, with the potential toyield true breakthroughs in areas of great applied interest, as calorics, low-power ferroelectric switching, tunable dielectrics or negative capacitors
