Submitted Abstract

The contribution of the European Court of Justice to the building of a European contract law has hardly been scrutinized. All legal studies focus on the role played by the Commission and the European Parliament, although the normative power of the court is well known. This workshop aims at discussing the impact of this power in the field of contract law. It will explore new hypotheses in the field of contract law such as its “regionalisation”, its “constitutionalisation”, its adaptation to the economic power of the parties and its “proceduralisation”.
