Submitted Abstract

Aim is development of a self-learning Soft Sensor (SS) based on vibroacoustic sensors and
data-analysis, for monitoring, controlling and troubleshooting of heads for Abrasive Waterjet
Cutting (AWC). Once installed, it will deliver innovative and smart heads that upgrade AWC
-automation and -robustness to the excellence of Industry 4.0. The added value is a higher
competitiveness of AWC. The limited cost of the SS ensures a quick return on investment.
