Submitted Abstract
SIGMMA is a software stack for the digitization of payments, transfers, and remittances to
facilitate financial inclusion in sub-Saharan Africa. Our approach shifts from the largely
adopted SMS/USSD-based mobile money to a more transparent, interoperable, secure,
open and rich Mobile Money Infrastructure backed by the blockchain technology.
SIGMMA will be a disruptive solution to democratize and drive innovation in digital services.
