Submitted Abstract
On an organisational level, 12 lectures were scheduled from January 2017 to December 2017. The lectures were given by outstanding scientists in the field and strategically tailored to align with the focus topics of LIH’s Department of Infection and Immunity. The lectures are open for all scientist and were publically announced by LIH, the University of Luxembourg and the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL). As in previous lecture series the scientific program was subdivided into three main parts: 1) The main lecture (app. 45min) and 2) a discussion afterwards (20min). Lectures were held in the lecture hall of the Lycée Technique d’Esch/Alzette. 3) Afterwards was a students’ workshop. These interactive events were open to all PhD students from the different research institutes and the University of Luxembourg.
