Submitted Abstract
All the evidence indicate that Blockchain is here to stay. In spite of the fact that the Blockchain technology is still not mature, but there is a potential success that will eventually transform our world. In this project, we go beyond the hype and dive deeper in the details of this technology. As planned, we started with building a testbed framework, so we investigate each gear (e.g., consensus, networking, user behavior, etc.) behind different Blockchain platforms. We started with Ethereum Blockchain and we planned to extend our investigation to different Blockchain technology. As use cases, we had evaluated different Blockchain-based PoCs in our platform to evaluate the performance and the scalability issues. In parallel, we conduct a joint research project with the Columbia University, USA about Blockchain scalability issues, with focus on micropayment problem. For remaining funding period we will enrich our platform with more automation options, performance reporting system and reasonable workload testing for Blockchain applications.
