Submitted Abstract

The development of methods for the stereoselective synthesis of organic molecules for medical drugs, agrochemicals and fragrances is highly desired. Even though various methods for the control of one stereogenic center in a single reaction exist, the control over two or more stereogenic centers in a single reaction is much more difficult but would enable a more rapid access to complex molecules. The stereodivergent formation of each isomer of products with multiple centers is very challenging. For my PhD project in this research area, I am planning to develop diastereodivergent dynamic kinetic transformations (DYKATs) for asymmetric allylation with non-stabilized nucleophiles. I believe that diasterodivergent DYKATs can become a powerful strategy in organic synthesis in target synthesis.
