Submitted Abstract

A new smart inverter system controls the active and reactive power flow exchanged between
grid and power units fed by renewable energy sources, based on the grid frequency/voltage or
set by the grid operator. It is able as well to mitigate the harmonics that could appear on the
grid. The developed solution transforms every decentralized energy production unit into a
flexible, interconnected and/or autonomous power unit.
