Submitted Abstract
The Department of Infection and Immunity at CRP-Santé and the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) plan to organize a second edition of the lecture series on “infection & immunity”. The currently ongoing first edition of this lecture series in 2014 is very successful and the 5 lectures so far have received a lot of attention from the CRP-Santé, the CHL and the University of Luxembourg. The positive feedback from these academic and public institutions, from other stakeholders based in the Luxembourg area, who are interested in the field of infection and immunity, and also from the invited international scientists prompted us to plan a second series of lectures on “infection & immunity” for 2015. Each of the 9 selected invitees together with the lecture topics were chosen based on their impact and excellence in the respective field of research. All of them are globally respected scientists in their research area with a significant impact in their field.
