As the organiser of the 2015 edition of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Conference, the FNR is pleased to announce the finalization of the conference multimedia report at a time that coincides with the 20th anniversary of MSCA.
The report is released as an interactive document including both video and audio recordings of key conference sessions. Highlights are the video of the keynote by astronaut and former French Minister Claudie Haigneré; recordings of the awards ceremony with the allocation of the awards to Adrien Doherty, David Hoey and Julien Meyer; interviews of keynote speakers; the reporting on the conference and parallel sessions as well as a summary of the conference outcome by the moderator Beate Scholz.
The COFUND awards ceremony that took place during the conference gathered a roaster of honorary guests including Marc Hansen, the Luxembourg Minister for Higher Education and Research, and Martine Reicherts, Director General of the Education and Culture Directorate of the European Commission.
Regarding MSCA COFUND, the conference presentations and discussions demonstrated that the scheme has successfully supported the development of new models of research and training, fostered institutional corporate identities and created a COFUND Community, thereby enlarging the visibility of co-funded programmes and institutions.
In order to achieve an even larger multiplying effect in the future, it will be essential for COFUND to provide access to good practice examples for others to build on, especially to benefit such countries, regions, sectors or research fields that are less represented in the programme.
In order to support the research policy goals of the European Research Area, COFUND needs to dedicate special attention to regional research and innovation capacity building by establishing links between the Smart Specialisation Strategy and Horizon 2020.
In response to complex societal needs and requirements COFUND is invited to support more transdisciplinary research, where social sciences and humanities and natural sciences and engineering meet in order to produce new knowledge and develop problem-solving technologies.
The MSCA is a European Union programme promoting the mobility and career development for researchers.
