Launch of 2021 PRIDE Call

The FNR is pleased to announce the opening of the fourth PRIDE Call, with a deadline of Wednesday, 20 October 2021, 14:00 CET. Through the PRIDE programme, the FNR awards block PhD grants to Doctoral Training Units (DTU) in Luxembourg.

What’s new in the PRIDE Call 2021?

In December 2019, the Luxembourg Government has adopted the National Research and Innovation Strategy for Luxembourg with the National Research Priorities (NRP). Proposals submitted under the PRIDE programme need to align with the National Research Priorities.

The FNR has introduced a new narrative-style CV in its funding programmes, which, in conjunction with an updated ORCiD profile, allows the full picture of a researcher to be evaluated. The goal is to allow an applicant to be more fairly evaluated on their scientific vision, appropriate experience, and broader contributions to science and society, beyond the limited focus of metrics and quantitative criteria.
