International cooperation: Results 2017 M-ERA.NET Call

The FNR is pleased to communicate that all four eligible full proposals involving Luxembourg partners have been retained for funding in the 2017 M-ERA.NET Call, an FNR commitment of 1.76 MEUR.

M-ERA.NET is an EU funded network which has been established to support and increase the coordination of European research programmes and related funding in materials science and engineering. In the 2017 Call, 91 pre-proposals were submitted, requesting 68 MEUR funding in total. 48 full-proposals were submitted and 37 full-proposals passed the full-proposal evaluation. Finally 19 full-proposals (1 still pending) were selected for funding requesting 15 MEUR.

Four projects with participation of Luxembourg researchers were submitted in the full-proposal stage and all four were very positively evaluated. Therefore, the FNR decided to increase its initial call budget in order to fund all projects. The Luxembourg part of the projects amounts to a total volume of 1.76 MEUR coming from the FNR’s INTER budget.
