The annual AAL Forum is taking place from Monday, 26 to Wednesday, 28 September St. Gallen, Switzerland. The AAL Forum is the annual showcase event for people involved in or interested in the AAL Programme’s projects. This year’s event will bring together policy makers, health professionals, commissioners, carers as well as members of the general public to come and see the latest developments in this area of innovation.
About the Active Assisted Living (AAL) Programme
Populations around the world are ageing. The result is that there is now more pressure on healthcare systems, social services and people of a working age as older adults become increasingly dependent upon others. But now there is a growing group of businesses and researchers who believe that technology can give independence back to these people. This is what the AAL Programme, which funds ICT projects that promote active and healthy ageing, is all about.
Luxembourg and AAL
Luxembourg is involved in the AAL programme:
- The FNR supports Luxembourg research institutions
- Luxinnovation offers support for businesses and companies.
