First Science Journalism Contest “Science for everyone” by science.lu

Are you a budding writer keen to share your research or to write about a particular science topic? The “Science for everyone!” contest is an opportunity to share your research, your passion for a specific subject, or to engage in a discussion on the latest scientific discoveries by writing an article according to the science.lu guidelines. Articles can be written in Luxembourgish, German, English or French, with a deadline of Monday, 3 July 2017 2 pm UTC+01:00.

Prizes

1st prize : a place on a science journalism course valued at €2,000, plus €500 in prize money, and publication of the winning article along with your portrait on science.lu.

2nd prize : €250 in prize money and publication of the article on science.lu.

3rd prize :  €125 in prize money and publication of the article on science.lu.

Who can enter?

The contest is open to individuals aged 18 and over, resident in Luxembourg and working in research and/or innovation (all positions) in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Individuals who are Luxembourg nationals working in these fields abroad are also eligible. Deadline for submissions: 3 July 2017.

How to enter

  • To register, complete the online competition entry form and confirm acceptance of the rules
  • Write your article according to the science.lu guidelines (guidelines available in EN, DE, FR)
  • Send your article to info@science.lu
