The University of Luxembourg Incubator is organising its 2nd International Summer School on Knowledge-Driven Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 1 – 5 July 2019. Interested participants should register as soon as possible.
This residential summer school is organised for promoting knowledge-driven innovation and entrepreneurship in the Luxembourg ecosystem. The summer school is fully funded and will host promising local as well as international researchers with innovative research results and possibly even intellectual property making it a viable business opportunity.
Interlaced between lectures and informal discussion sessions (with investors, startup founders, CEOs, etc), is a fun-filled action packed summer school with outdoor and indoor activities etc.. (outdoor activities as the weather permits).
The event is restricted to PhD, postdocs and young researchers (hopefully with some commercially oriented research direction or results in hand) so please spread the word among your network. Potential FNR JUMP (Pathfinder) applicants may find this summer school useful for identifying their value chain.
The event will be mastered by Prof. Ted Zoller, the Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Local and external founders, investors as well as corporate members will support your learning experience. Apart from traditional learning sessions, the organisers strive for providing participants a learning by doing experience. The informal discussions will continue along with outdoor hikes, mountain biking, canoeing sessions or may it be while learning how to keep bees.
Transport will be provided from the Central Station of Luxembourg City and Belval Campus to the venue (Centre de Jeunesse Marienthal) on Monday (1st July) and return on Friday (5th July). Attendance to all days is compulsory unless agreed upon in advance.
Date, time and location
The summer school will start at 10 am on Monday, 1st July and run until 5th July, 16:30 pm.
All participants will stay together at the Centre de Jeunesse Marienthal, a beautifully located former convent.
Registration
Interested participants should register as soon as possible (limited spaces) through: bit.ly/LUXSS19.
